What is Ceylon cinnamon?

Potential to treat diabetes
In one study, Ceylon cinnamon was able to bring insulin levels in diabetic mice closer to a stable level. Other studies also support the idea that Sri Lankan cinnamon is very helpful in treating diabetes.
Cinnamon Sri Lankan stimulates activity like insulin, reducing insulin resistance in the body. This helps glucose better metabolize in the liver. You can consume at least 120mg of cinnamon every day to help stabilize insulin levels.
Contains anti-cancer enzymes
Cinnamon Sri Lan contains anti-inflammatory, antioxidant and antibacterial substances, thereby supporting good immune health, preventing or treating certain types of cancer.
Helps manage blood pressure
All types of cinnamon contain cinnamic acid. It has anti-inflammatory effects, helps blood circulation and reduces stress in the heart.
A study of Sri Lankan cinnamon started in 1975 also concluded that this cinnamon can help stabilize blood pressure and prevent cardiovascular disease effectively.
Support for Alzheimer’s disease prevention
The metabolic effect also makes Ceylon cinnamon beneficial for nerves, especially Alzheimer’s disease. Studies show a link between diabetes and Alzheimer’s support and the idea that Sri Lankan cinnamon can help prevent Alzheimer’s onset.
This cinnamon can also help control high blood sugar in the brain. Hyperglycemia episodes occur in people with diabetes. This can contribute to cognitive impairment. The properties of cinnamon help ensure that blood sugar doesn’t rise too quickly.
